Online shopping. Has anyone ever tried it? Do you want to but not know where to start? After speaking to a few people with online shopping experience, many questions will be answered.
When shopping online, there are important things to keep in mind. When asked for advice on online shopping, senior Deja Henry said, “Make sure you look at the expected date for when it’s gonna come.” Knowing when to expect your shipment is important, especially when your buying from a site you have no experience with.
Junior Kirsten Joines said, “My advice would be to use websites that you’ve shopped from in the store and to check size charts and ratings so you can be more sure of what you’re getting.” By doing so, you can be certain you’ll be satisfied with your shipment results.
Even after taking all the necessary precautions, things can still get messy when ordering from different websites. Joines shared an unfortunate experience she had with online shopping when she ordered from a website she was fairly familiar with.
She shared, “When I ordered a bathing suit over the summer, it arrived in the wrong style and color. Another time when I ordered from the same place, I ordered multiple items. But when they were shipped, they all arrived on different days.” Being careful doesn’t always ensure good results.
Just because something could go wrong, that does not mean that there aren’t any upsides in shopping online. Sophomore Justin Lewis said, “It’s very convenient. I don’t have to go anywhere or do anything.” All it takes is a click of a mouse.
Deja Henry said, “There’s more variety then you see in the stores.” A lot of what’s online is different and unique, causing difficulty when trying to find that particular product in stores.
Shopping online can be both beneficial and risky at the same time.
