The Winter season has come to an end, and Spring is right around the corner. It is not a surprise that the members of the Lady Lions lacrosse team are very excited for a fresh start, hopeful that this season will be as terrific as the last.
Close to a year ago, the girl’s lacrosse team fought vigorously against teams from all over the county, ending their 2012 season with a winning record. However, like every year before, the senior talent has left the Red Lion lacrosse field. Even though it may be a bit dissapointing to lose such talented players, the girls will continue to play to the best of their ability.
When asked about the team’s potential this upcoming season, junior Alyssa Castle said, “I think that our team will be even stronger because we have so many really talented underclassmen that have really improved on their stick skills.”
Coach Unger also commented on the subject saying, “We have many new players this year, and some are very good. So I think that we’ll do well this year. We’ve already started practicing too, so everyones’ prepared.”
The Lady Lions seem to be prepared for the next season, and they have confidence in each other’s abilities and skills.
